training programme on “Integrated 
Farming” from 23.01.2017 to 30.01.2017 at Village Dusarna of district S.A. S. Nagar (Mohali). Around 30 farmers and rural youth belonging to schedule caste took part in this RKVY sponsored training programme. Training coordinators Dr Munish Sharma, Assistant Professor Horticulture and Dr Harmeet Kaur Assistant Professor, Plant Protection gave detailed lecture and practical exposure on various aspects of integrated farming. Dr Munish Sharma and Dr Harmeet Kaur also led the exposure visit of trainees to Integrated farming system model located at PAU, Ludhiana. Dr S.S. walia, Senior Agronomist of PAU delivered lecture and guided farmers during visit. Dr Parul Gupta delivered lecture on processing and preservation of farm produce. Dr Priyanka Suryavanshi gave lecture on resource conservation and preparation of vemi compost. Dr Randhir Singh delivered lecture on dairy management and Dr Vikas Phulia shared information on fish farming. Deputy Director Dr Yashwant Singh thanked farmers for their cooperation and support during training programme and urged farmers to participate actively in KVK activities. On the last day of training certificates and literature was distributed to farmers.
