Krishi Vigyan Kendra, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized five day training course on Dairy farming under RKVY Scheme. This course 
was 
organized at village Mundho-Sangtian, in which 40 under privileged farmers participated. Out of these 21 were farm women. Course coordinator, Dr. Randhir Singh, Assistant Professor (Livestock Production) delivered lectures on vaccination schedule, various diseases and their treatment, different gynecological conditions and formulation of feed for different age groups of dairy animals. Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director gave lectures on different dairy breeds, housing and management. Dr. Priyanka Suryavanshi, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) and Dr. Parul Gupta, Assistant Professor (Home Science) delivered lectures on Hay and silage making techniques for year round fodder availability and Value addition of milk and milk products, respectively. Dr. Vikas Phulia, Assistant Professor (Fisheries) delivered lecture on Integration of dairy farming with fishery. Mr. Rattan Singh, Deputy Director, PNB, FTC, Sirhind delivered lecture on various loan schemes for dairy. In the concluding ceremony of the training, trainees were distributed certificates, university publications on dairy farming (dairy farming, dairy pashuan da prajan praband and prajanan calendar) as complimentary gesture.
