Kisan Gosthi on horticulture was organized at village Baraudi of district Mohali on 07.09.2017. Director of Extension Education, GADVASU, Dr H.K. Verma participated in this
event and motivated farmers to adopt crop diversification with horticultural crops. He also informed participants about the Pashupalan/Kisan Mela to be held on 22-23 September 2017 and asked them to take maximum advantage of this grand event by active participation in this Mela. Dr Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director (Training) also encouraged farmers to cultivate fruits and vegetables for more income generation. Dr Munish Sharma Assistant Professor (Horticulture) and coordinator of this Kisan Gosthi gave lecture on planting and aftercare of fruit crops. He thanked Dr H.K Verma and Dr Yashwant Singh for their participation in this programme and motivating farmers. On this occasion nursery plants of fruits, certificates and literature was also distributed to the farmers who attended one week vocational training on horticulture conducted during 23-29 August 2017.
