Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana (GADVASU) organized an International workshop on " Extension Research Methodology: from designing to publishing" 
in collaboration with PUM Netherlands Senior Experts. Dr H K Verma, Director Extension Education revealed that University has a long association with PUM Netherlands and on the request of University , PUM deputed Willem Van Weperen to strengthening extension activities of the University . Dr JPS Gill, Director Research of the university was the chief guest for inaugural session. Dr Gill revealed that GADVASU has signed MoU with many international universities across the world and scientists from the university are actively working in various projects running in collaboration with these foreign universities. He further emphasized on necessity of accurate design, methodology and analysis of data for a good quality research in extension science.
Willem Van Weperen, Senior experts in extension from PUM Netherlands deliberated on extension programme 
designing, situation analysis and documentation of extension experience. Dr Verma also delivered one talk on scenario of livestock sector, constraints and how various disciplines/ departments can involve in effective extension activities. Further Dr Verma told this is first international workshop on extension being held At GADVASU. All the participants took keen interest in group activity given to them on various extension topics. A total of 45 including 11 female participants from different colleges, outstations of the university attended the same and expressed their 
satisfaction. Dr S K Kansal and Dr Jaswinder Singh coordinated the whole workshop. Dr Kansal told that extension wing of the University is using all means to make the farmers aware about scientific livestock farming and University is organizing Pashu Palan Mela on 20-21 September 2018 to exhibits and demonstrate all its developed technologies at a single platform. Dr AS Nanda, Vice Chancellor said that extension is the mouth piece of the university as it spread university technologies to the end users by all possible means. So we emphasized on strengthening and updation of extension regularly.
