Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana organised 5 days Vocational Training 
Programme on “Integrated training on Horticulture, Bee keeping and Livestock Production” under RKVY at village Baserke. Forty progressive farmers and farm women from the border area of district Tarn Taran attended this training programme. Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director (Training), KVK, Booh, Tarn 
Taran welcomed to farmers for the programme and highlighted the importance of goat, poultry farming and Bee keeping for rural and poor people. Dr. Kumar also told about the different activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, for benefit of the farmer community. Nirmal Singh (Assistant Professor) Horticulture and Course Coordinator discussed in detail with trainees about Kitchen gardening and nursery production of vegetable and flower crops at small level. Navjot Singh, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) discussed about feed management in poultry and goat faming. Dr. Bhanu Parkash Assistant Professor (Fisheries) suggested to the farmers for ornamental fish production and aquarium business at small level. During this training 
program, an exposure visit of the trainees was organized at GADVASU, Ludhiana wherein the trainees visited goat and poultry farm and learned about scientific management of these ventures at household level. Farmers also showed keen interest in RIR and Kadaknath breeds of poultry. At this occasion Dr. HK Verma, Director Extension Education, GADVASU, Ludhiana interacted with the farmers and gave detailed information about literature published by the university and assured the farmers for any help about livestock production.
