14 August 2012 - Veterinary University to organize “Teean Teej Dian“ Function
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University always tried its best to inculcate cultural values in the students to promote the heritage for social cause. To fulfil this motive Veterinary University is celebrating “Teean Teej Dian” the important festival of Sawan Month. The celebration will correlate the very much day of our independence i.e.15 Aug .2012. This information was delivered by Dr. Darshan Singh Bari Welfare Officer. He said that we are always of the opinion that clean entertainment is also integral part of education.
Dr. Bari said that the function will take place on 15th August at 1 pm to 6 pm at the lawn of College of Veterinary Science and entry will be only for ladies. He said that any lady or girl from any walk of life can participate in it. He said that it is an open invitation to members of all Ladies clubs of the city to enjoy the colours of this special rainy season festival. Dr. Bari told that different competitions of Punjabi dress, Gidha, Mehndi, High Swing, long hair tail, Marriage Songs, Oldest women and to eat Maximum Jalebies & Gol Gappas etc will be organised.
Dr. Bari said that to fill all the colours of culture, different stalls of Mehndi designing. Bangles, Ornaments & eatables will be added on attractions. He said this function will be a successful event with the cooperation of ladies of both universities, different colleges, schools, ladies clubs and house wives.
