Area of Research Interests

  • Intra-parenchymal branching of hepatic arteries and veins of buffalo was studies by injecting radio-opaque lead oxide in liquid soap and radiographs were taken in different profiles to know the branching pattern of arteries and veins.
  • Established developmental model for heart, spinal cord, superficial lymphnodes and mammary glands in buffalo foetus.
  •  Histo-pathological and histoenzymic studies were conducted to observe experimental lead acetate toxicities on organs/systems in buffalo. The amount of lead pollution in the environment is increasing proportionally to the development of industry and it accumulate in the body organs causing alterations in cell structures and reduces the biotransformation, thus affecting activity in all the vital organs of body.
  • A comparative ultrasonographic study on heart of buffalo, sheep and goat was elucidated to form a baseline data for identification and treatment of cardiac diseases. Histological, histochemical and ultrastructural studies on accessory sex glands of buffalo and thyroid gland of buffalo, sheep and goat.
