Area of Research Interests

Impact assessment, evaluation and identification of problems and constraints of various; livestock extension programs, animal husbandry schemes and capacity building programs of various types of stakeholder groups involved in livestock value chain. Development of ICT applications and tools for the farmers. Pilot level testing of livestock-based innovations, technologies and their feedback studies. Knowledge and adoption of scientific livestock farming practices. Importance of livestock in entrepreneurship development among rural youth and farm women, study of livestock-based farmers’ organizations (FOs), empowering farm women vis-à-vis animal husbandry sector, organic waste management practices, stray animals, challenges and their management strategies. Animal welfare practices and their importance in livestock production system. Documentation, compilation and validation of indigenous technical knowledge (ITKs) of farmers need and interests.
