Faculty members of Animal Disease Research Centre, Vet Varsity achieved notable success at recently held IAVPHS-2025 conference, securing one Best Oral and three Best Poster Presentation awards. Dr. Vishal Mahajan, Dr. Prateek Jindal, Ms. Apoorva, Ph.D. scholar were honored with Best Poster Awards, while Dr. M.S. Bal and Dr. Alveena Gnai won the Best Oral Presentation Award. The department's scientists presented first report from Punjab on molecular detection of Anaplasma platys in dogs and also emphasized need for regular anthelmintic treatments, potentially integrated with rabies vaccination, to prevent zoonotic helminthic infections from stray dogs.
