• 70 (35 University Quota & 35 Management Quota) seats for residents of Punjab state & Union Territory of Chandigarh.
• 15 seats for candidates nominated by VCI
• 15 seats for NRI/ Special Management Quota (SMQ).
• 01 seat for the wards of permanent employees (including those on probation) of GADVASU and currently in service/retirees/ deceased provided the candidate fulfils the minimum eligibility requirements as of General Category candidates based on merit. However, no fee concession will be granted to the candidates securing admission under this category. In the event of seat remaining vacant, it shall be offered to the candidates competing for general Category.

NOTE:

• The seats remaining vacant under reserved category(ies), if any, shall be offered to the candidates competing on open merit basis during the 3rd counselling. However, in case no candidate has applied under a particular reserved category, these seats during 1st and /or 2nd counselling will be offered to candidates competing on open merit basis..
• Candidates from other states fulfilling the eligibility criteria, who have already applied or apply for Special Counselling/Mop-up Round(s)/Walk-in-Interview, will be considered against remaining seats for admission under Self-Financed (COVS, Ludhiana)/ Category-II (COVS, Rampura Phul)/Management Quota/Special Management Quota (Khalsa College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences), only after considering the candidates from Punjab and UT Chandigarh.
• Vacant seats out of the fifteen seats of NRI of Khalsa College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, will be converted to Special Management Quota, if no overseas candidate is available and will be filled as per details given in table 3 above. 
• Candidates admitted in a counselling can participate in subsequent Counsellings (2nd and/or 3rd counselling(s)) only, if there is a financial benefit on account of fee structures with the same college. However, candidate(s) can be allowed to participate for change of college as per his/her choice irrespective of financial benefit.
