The minimum eligibility qualification for admission to Ph.D. programmes of the university shall be an OCPA of 7.00/10.00 or 70% marks in aggregate in the Master’s degree and OCPA/OGPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute/college/university established by law in India. The eligible Master’s and Bachelor’s degree for admission to specific Ph.D. programme are as shown against respective discipline in the table below.
Note: Students may have to clear deficiency courses as suggested by the student's advisory committee.
Note:
(i) The in-service candidate will be considered for admission only if his/her application is duly forwarded through proper channel by the Head/sanctioning authority after certifying that during the study period his/her lien will be retained and on completion of studies, the candidate will join back on the said post.
(ii) The preference for admission under in-service category will be given to the candidates working with Punjab Government/ Semi-Government organizations of Punjab followed by other state candidates on case-to-case basis.
