Veterinary Varsity Youth festival starts with Tug of Knowledge and brush strokes
10th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana started with tug of knowledge and fine arts events. Dr. S. K. Uppal, Dean, Post Graduate was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session whereas Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Dean, College of Veterinary Science was guest of honor. On the occasion Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students' Welfare said that youth festivals are appropriate medium of internal expression of students. We are providing good facilities to students to improve their performance. Participants were also in high spirits. Nidhi Sharma, Joint Organizing Secretary of festival said that in first day competitions there were four events Photography, Quiz, Cartooning and On the Spot Painting. Total 12 students participated in Photography competition, 21 in Quiz, 11 students in Cartooning and 12 in On the Spot Painting. The Subject for the Photography competition was ‘Texture’ and 'Nature', for Cartooning, the topic was ‘Mad Rush’, for On the Spot Painting it was open for any visible nature scene in front of you,
College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, Newly established Veterinary College, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, Baba Hira Dass Ji, College of Pharamacy, Badal in these events. Dr. P. N. Dwivedi President, Dance Drama and Music Club of GADVASU said that Collage making, Poster Making and Installation competitions will be held on 06th November 2019 (09. 00 a.m.) at same venue, Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science.
