Area of Research Interests

  • Detection and quantification of pesticide residues in food animals(particularly chicken, eggs, goat and sheep meat, pork, buffalo meat and fish)which is the major contributor to the exposure of human population. Also presence of residues in poultry feed, animal feed and water by adopting multiple residue analysis techniques. The effect of processing methods like pressure cooking, boiling and microwave cooking on reduction in levels of pesticides residues. Monitoring of veterinary drug residues in food of animal origin. Differentiation and detection of falsification in meat.
