Teaching and Other Appointments

  • Involved in under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in the field of surgery, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. Involved in imparting training to interns in the field of surgery and radiology. Special interest in the field of general surgery, urinary system surgery, orthopaedic surgery, anaesthesiology, radiology and ophthalmology.

Area of Research Interests

  • Research on diagnosis and surgical management of abdominal affections in small and large animals. 
  • Devising new general anaesthetic protocols for canine and bovine. 
  • Application of intramedullary interlocking nailing and bone plating on long bones in large and small animals, repair of perineal lacerations, caesarean section and colic in equines. 
  • Development of minimal invasive surgical procedures in large and small animals.
  • Treatment of joint, tendon and ligament disorders in small and large animals. 
  • Use of arthroscopy for diagnosis and treatment of arthropathies.
  • Minimally invasive techniques viz, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and theloscopy.
