Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized a free animal welfare and treatment camp at adopted village Dulwan Khadri. Sixty farmers participated in this camp and more than 35 animals treated on the spot by experts of Kendra and University. Dr. Randhir Singh, Assistant Professor, Livestock Production, gave information about control and treatment of Endo and Ecto-parasites in animals, whereas Dr. Navdeep Singh and Dr. Bilawal Singh provided a brief insight about management and reproductive diseases of animals, respectively. Earlier, Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director, provided a brief insight about working and mandates of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, and encouraged farmers to participate whole heartdly in such camps. After brief lectures, various cases of Surgery, Gynaecology and Medicine were treated on the spot by experts. At the end of this camp Dr. Yashwant Singh informed farmers about more such camps by Kendra in near future.
