On the occasion of World Veterinary Day 2017 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, SAS Nagar (Mohali) organized free deworming camp at village 
Dhakoran Kalan, Mohali in which around 40 farmers/farm women participated. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Randhir Singh, Assistant Professor (Livestock production) and Dr. Yashwant Singh, Deputy Director gave a brief insight about the importance of World Veterinary Day celebration to farmers. Apart from this farmers were also made aware of various parasitic diseases in dairy animals. A free deworming drive was conducted in which dairy animals of the village were provided dewormer. Dr. Randhir Singh also prescribed various medicines to the livestock farmers based on specific diseases conditions. Dr. Yashwant Singh provided a brief insight about working and mandates of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) and encouraged farmers to properly manage their dairy animals particularly during summers season and participate whole heartdly in such camps.
