Dr Munish Sharma from Krishi Vigyan Kendra S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) GADVASU participated 
in the International Conference on “Global research initiatives for agriculture and allied sciences” at ICAR-National Academy of Agriculture Research Management, Hyderabad (Telangana). He was conferred “Excellence in Extension Award” in this conference. He was bestowed with a certificate & memento. In addition to this, the research paper entitled “Influence of crop geometry on onion bulb yield in district Mohali of Punjab” presented by Dr Munish Sharma was adjudged 3rd “Best poster” in agriculture. The conference has eleven technical sessions with lead and invited lectures, oral and poster presentations on the topics of innovation in crop breeding and biotechnology, Global climate change, Biodiversity & IPR issues, Policies and economics of profitable Agriculture, Cropping system & ITK, Food processing and value addition, Animal Sciences etc. The program was inaugurated by Dr.Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM Hyderabad. Dr S. K. Patil, Vice Chancellor IGKV Raipur, Chattisgarh presided over the inaugural session. Dr H.K. Verma, Director Extension Education congratulated the scientist for his achievement in the conference.
