A one day awareness activity on the occasion of Agriculture Education Day was organized by Krishi 
Vigyan Kendra, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) at Government Sr. Sec. School, Sahauran, S.A.S. Nagar under the supervision of Deputy Director, Dr. Yashwant Singh. The main objective of this event was to expose students about various fields of agriculture and allied sciences. This programme was organized to sensitize students and develop their interest in agriculture/Veterinary and allied subjects. Dr Yashwant Singh, stressed upon importance of veterinary and allied fields as professional career after schooling. He also made awareness about the process to be followed to get admissions in the respective fields. Dr Parul Gupta, Assistant Professor, KVK, Mohali discussed about future prospects of agriculture education in India and also laid emphasis on the various degree/diploma courses offered by PAU, Ludhiana. Dr Shashi Pal, Assistant Professor was also present on this occasion and discussed about role of veterinary science as agri-entrepreneurs. Around 110 school students and teachers were present in this programme.
