In case any afresh applicant wishes to apply for these posts, he/she should submit the application form alongwith required fee of Rs. 1500/- and documents by 16.09.2021. The fee can also be deposited on 17.09.2021 by cash before the start of the Interview. The interview for the posts of Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) is fixed on 17.09.2021 at 10.00 a.m. and Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) on 17.09.2021 at 2.00 p.m. in the Committee Room of the Vice-Chancellor. The candidates must bring their original certificates, testimonials, publications, NOC etc., for perusal of the Selection Committee at the time of Interview.
Note: The candidates who had already applied for the posts of Assistant Professor (Agronomy) (Sr. No. 65) and Assistant Professor (Plant Protection) (Sr. No. 66) advertised vide Advertisement No. 01/2021, shall be considered for these posts of SMS in the relevant discipline and need not to apply again. They should also appear for interview as per the above schedule as intimated by e-mail/phones. In case they wish to withdraw their application a written request should be made within one week of this corrigendum for refund of application fee.
Qualifications:
Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) at KVK, Booh, Tarn Taran
1. B.Sc. (Agri.) at least with second division.
2. Master’s degree in Agronomy with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
3. Must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory of elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language which may be specified by GADVASU from time to time.
Note: A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post, such candidate must have obtained minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks at Master’s level in the allied field.
Desirable: Ph.D. degree in relevant subject.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Undertake dissemination work using all available channels of communication and spread farmer awareness by conducting Farmer Awareness Programme.
2. To attend/conduct meetings, training programmes whenever required and prepare periodic data and records and annual progress report for performance review and monitoring of related works.
3. To maintain details of expenditure and preparation of annual UC,SE and Demand etc.
Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) at KVK, Handiaya, Barnala
1. B.Sc. (Agri.)/B.Sc. Forestry at least with second division.
2. M.Sc. in Entomology with minor in Plant Pathology/Plant Pathology with minor in Entomology with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
3. Must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory of elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language which may be specified by GADVASU from time to time.
Note: A candidate who may not possess Master’s degree in the relevant discipline but possesses Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post, such candidate must have obtained minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks at Master’s level in the allied field.
