Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the team involved in the project and underlined that it will improve the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills of both new and existing dairy farmers for their sustainability in the status of Punjab's dairy industry. Further, he stated that MSME maintain economic stability by encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation and balanced regional development. In this project, hands-on experiential learning will be imparted to trainees to upgrade existing skills of scientific dairy farming, value addition chain, and marketing.
Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Research, stated that the project's goal is to establish a new era of entrepreneurship through the MSME sector by utilizing advanced technologies to handle dairy produce. Dr. R.S. Grewal, Director of Extension Education, informed that MSME sector is a platform for entrepreneurship, frequently propelled by individual creativity and inventiveness. Dr. Swaran Singh Randhawa, Dean, College of veterinary science, said that MSME will be revolutionary for dairy entrepreneurs in terms of Scientific and precision dairy farming using all modern technologies.
Dr. Yashpal Singh, HoD informed that MSMEs provide a forum for experimentation and innovation, helping women, youth and marginalized entrepreneurs through financial assistance, training and policy incentives which will help to produce distinctive products and services customized to local and global demands. Team involved for the smooth execution of this project will be Dr. Suresh Kumar (PI), Dr. Yashpal Singh, Dr. R.S. Grewal and Dr. S.T. Singh.
