January 30

The Vety and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VLIIF), has taken a significant step towards strengthening the startup support ecosystem in the veterinary and livestock domain through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ludhiana Angels Network (LAN). The agreement reflects a strategic effort to connect domain-specific innovation with active angel investor networks to accelerate entrepreneurship and enterprise growth. Ludhiana Angels Network (LAN) is a Ludhiana-based Limited Liability Partnership committed to nurturing an organised and organic startup ecosystem in Punjab and beyond. LAN places special emphasis on manufacturing, supply chain innovation and early-stage venture support. The MoU was signed by Mr. Shibananda Dash, CEO, Ludhiana Angels Network, and Dr. R S Sethi on behalf of VLIIF.
Dr R S Sethi, Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology and Director VLIIF informed that VLIIF, a Section 8 company promote innovation and entrepreneurship in veterinary, livestock, dairy and allied sectors as well as build collaborations that enhance opportunities for its incubated startups. This partnership with LAN is aimed at creating a structured pathway for startups to access mentorship, investment guidance and early-stage funding support. Dr. Sethi said that through this collaboration, VLIIF-supported startups are expected to gain improved market linkage, strategic advisory support and exposure to investor networks, thereby fostering innovation-led growth in the livestock and veterinary entrepreneurship landscape.
Dr. R. S. Grewal, Director Extension Education highlighted that the collaboration would play a crucial role in enabling incubated startups to become investment-ready by facilitating direct engagement with experienced investors and mentors.  Dr. P. S.
