Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, Tarn Taran of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences 
University, organised a refresher training course on “Advances in nursery production of horticultural crops” for field functionaries of department of Horticulture, Tarn Taran. In inaugural session, Dr. Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director (Training) KVK Tarn Taran welcomed the officials of Horticulture department and elaborated the purpose of this training course and said that nursery is the basic need of profitable horticultural crops. Dr. Kumar enlightened that we must guide the farmers of district Tarn Taran to come forward for quality nursery raising to earn good income as well as a healthy crop. He also urged to Deputy Director (Horticulture), Tarn Taran that we need to work in collaboration on various aspects of nursery and horticultural crop production for the benefit of farmers. Dr. Nirmal Singh, Assistant Professor (Horticulture) while interacting with official highlighted about scientific management of 
horticultural crop. He also added that nursery production provides employment opportunities for technical, skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour. Dr. Anil Kumar, Assistant Professor (Soil Science) elaborated about role of micronutrients in healthy nursery raising. He also suggested corrective measure to overcome micronutrient deficiency. Dr. Baaj Singh, Deputy Director, Department of Horticulture Tarn Taran explained about different schemes of department of Horticulture for the farmers. He also assured KVK that they will work in collaboration for the benefit of fruit growers.
