Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, 
Ludhiana webcasted the live streaming of State Agriculture Minister's Conference on 8th July 2019 at its campus. About 42 farmers witnessed the live telecast. In the beginning of the programme, Dr Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director of the Centre briefed about the purpose of the live streaming of the Agricultural Minister's Conference and told that Govt. has launched several schemes related to agriculture and livestock farming for the benefits of the farmers such as Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna, National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture, National Livestock Mission, Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, National Agriculture Market (e-NAM), PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, etc. for the upliftment of their income and livelihood. He told that KVK is also working on above schemes funded by ICAR, New Delhi. During live streaming farmers listened Shri. Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, where he emphasized on the vision of the Prime Minister for doubling of farmers’ income and suggested the States to adopt various measures to
reduce the cost of cultivation for better income generation for the farmers. The Union Agriculture Minister urged the State Agricultural Ministers to create awareness among the farmers on water conservation practices through adoption of sprinkler and micro-irrigation systems, conservation of water by water harvesting practices, etc. The farmers also shared their views with KVK experts and also discussed their issues. Dr Kumar assured farmers that they are with them at every step.
