conference on crop residue management at Patna on 14- 15 October 2019. In this conference,6 farmers from Punjab were invited to share their views on crop residue management with the farmers of Bihar. Among them two farmers associated with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tarn Taran was also participated. S. Jatinder Singh from village Mundapind of Tarn Taran share his experiences regarding various management practices needed to manage paddy straw with happy seeder. Baba Sher Singh of village Kot Budda, Tarn Taran said that he had started sowing wheat with happy seeder three years ago by hiring happy seeder from custom hiring centre and getting good returns from wheat sown with happy seeder. He said that he inspiring other farmers of area to adopt this technology and to not burn crop residue. These two farmers, along with two farmers from Bathinda and Ludhiana district were honoured by the Honourable Agriculture Minister Bihar Dr Prem Kumar and Vice-Chancellor of Bihar Agricultural University Dr A K Singh. demonstrations of happy seeder sown wheat in the poster session of conference and got best poster presentation award. Farmers of district Tarn Taran said that they are thankful to Director ATARI, Ludhiana Dr. Rajbir Singh,Dr. HarishKumar Verma, Director Extension Education, GADVASU, Ludhiana and scientist of KVK Tarn Taran for guiding us to adopt these technologies of paddy straw management and also urge other farmers to adopt these technologies for benefit of farmers. Dr. A. S Nanda, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, Ludhiana also congratulated farmers for the achievement.
