Ludhiana have been conferred with prestigious SRI RAMLAL AGARWAL AWARD, 2021 for their breakthrough research entitled “Effect of Herbal Biocholine and Herbal Vitamin E Selinium in prevention of Ketosis, Hepatic Lipidosis and Subclinical mastitis in dairy animals”. The award consisting of a Citation, Medal and INR 25000/- was bestowed to Dr. Sushma Chhabra, Principal Scientist (Department of Vety. Medicine), Dr. SNS Randhawa (Ex Director of Research-cum-Dean PGS, GADVASU), Dr. Suraj Koujalagi (SMS, ICAR-KVK, Belagavi), Dr. Randhir Singh (Assistant Professor, Department of TVCC), Dr. CS Randhawa (Professor-cum-Head, Department of Vety. Medicine) and Dr. BK Bansal (Principal Scientist, Department of Vety. Medicine) by the award
committee constituted by Indian Herbs Specialities Pvt. Ltd. The research is considered by the award committee as an excellent contribution for advancement of Ethno Veterinary medicine. It is pertinent to mention that Department of Veterinary Medicine is credited with cutting edge research in areas of production/ metabolic and deficiency diseases in dairy animals with more than 25 theses/ dissertations in the area. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor GADVASU applauded the achievement of research team and conveyed best wishes for the future endeavors in the field of production diseases.
