Six scientists from Guru Angad Dev veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana were conferred prestigious fellowship and associate fellowship by National Academy of Dairy Science (India) (NADSI) in its 7th convocation and National Dialogue on “Innovations in Reshaping the Indian Dairying”. Dr. Yashpal Singh Malik, Dean, College of Animal Biotechnology and Dr. Nirbhay Kumar Singh, HoD, of Veterinary Parasitology were awarded Fellowships by NADS(I). Dr. Jaspal Singh Hundal, Dept. of Animal Nutrition; Dr. Nitin Mehta, Dept. of Livestock Products Technology, Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, Dept. of Dairy Microbiology and Dr.
Sunil Kumar Khatkar, Dept. of Dairy Technology were inducted as Associate Fellows in NADS(I). The awards were presented by Sh. Dharmpal Singh, Cabinet Minister of Animal Husbandry, Uttar Pradesh and Prof Dr AK Srivastava, the president of NADS(I).
The National Academy of Dairy Science with its headquarters at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, is one of the premier academies in Animal Sciences, dedicated to scientific and technological advancements in the Indian dairy sector.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU congratulated all the awardees and asserted that GADVASU is earning recognition at national and International platforms and it is due to the meticulous and exemplary work carried out by the faculty members. He further stressed that the faculty members earned their recognition amongst many applicants for the prestigious award due to the farmer and industry centric research and its extension to the relevant stakeholders.
