12 th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University progressed to 4th day with competitions held in literary events. Students expressed their feelings and expressions through their participation in events of Creative writing, Extempore and Debate. Dr. V.K. Dumka, comptroller and Dr. L.D Singla, Director Human Resource Management Centre were guests of honor in the morning session. Dr. J.P.S Gill, Director Research, Dr. R.S. Grewal, Director Livestock Farms and Dr. Jagwinder Jodha, Editor Punjabi, PAU were the guests of honor for the afternoon session. Dr. Jodha encouraged and discussed different vital points to become a good orator. All the other dignitaries appreciated the participants for their performance. Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Director Students’ Welfare congratulated the winning students and motivated the participants in their future endeavors. He said that the Youth Festival will enter in the more colourful and Musical phase as main stage items will be on floor in the second phase from November 15 to 17.
Dr. A.P.S. Brar organizing secretary of the festival said that in the morning session Creative Writing and Extempore competitions were held. In the afternoon session there was a Debate competition. College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students expressed their thoughts on current and important issues.

Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer said that on 15 th November 2023 there will be the formal inauguration of the youth festival and competitions of Folk Songs, Creative Dance (solo), Light Vocal & Group Song (Indian).
