encing different activities in the connection of the Commemoration Week to mark the upcoming National Fish Farmers Day on 10th July, 2025. Different events are continued in the vet varsity with fervor, communicating gratitude to the fish farmers for providing healthy food to billions of people across the world.
An awareness campaign organised to educate the general public about the health benefits of fish, with a tagline “Cook Fish - Power Up Your Plate with A Super Healt
hy Dish”.
The celebrations also intended to spread a public message to eat fish to boost livelihood and economic stability of fish farmers through a robust domestic market support. A positive Producer - Consumer Cycle is being promoted through this campaign, highlighting multidimensional health benefits of fish for all age groups, which is loaded with protein, containing all essential amino acids; healthy fat containing omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, well known as PolyUnsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFAs); minerals (calcium, zinc, iron and iodine); and vitamins (Vitamin A, D & B12).

hy World”, through an inter-institutional promotional campaign covering public and private sector domains.
The graduating fisheries professionals approached every age group within Punjab Agricultural University and Vet varsity campuses for wider outreach, connecting people with fish and fish farmers. For an instant insight, leaflets describing multidimensional health benefits of fish are distributed among people. A consumer survey was also being undertaken by the budding fishery professionals to study local fish consumption patterns, enhancing their skills and vision with a stronger impulse for developing a robust domestic market for economic stability of the fisheries sector value chain.
