y is committed to work for the welfare of livestock farmers of the state in every possible way and he hailed the efforts of the extension wing. Dr R S Grewal, Director of Extension Education told that this camp was jointly organized by Vet Varsity and Animal Husbandry Department, Punjab. Dr. Aaditya Sharma, IAS, SDM, Dera Baba Nanak, made a special appearance. He praised the efforts of Vet Varsity and the Animal Husbandry department to care for animals while also acknowledging the selfless contribution rendered by Punjabis to the flood-affected area.
Dr Jaswinder Singh, Professor and Head department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education coordinated this camp and briefed the farmers about the importance of quality feed and services provided by the university. Dr. Gurdev Singh, SVO, gave a briefing on how the flood devastated the area during midnight and caused chaos for the local farmers. Experts
from Vert Varsity, including Drs. Adil, Anju Poonia, and Nilkhil Gulia, offered their services to local farmers.
They handled almost 70 different animal cases, including two MPD cases. Free medications were distributed. Dr R K Sharma, Director, Regional Research and Training Centre, Talwara also delivered a lecture on ethnoveterinary treatment of animal diseases. Mr Lachman Singh Randhawa, Tehsildar, was also present to grace the occasion. Drs. Gagandeep Singh and Hujaz from Vet Varsity as well as Jotbir Kaur and Arshdeep Kaur from the Animal Husbandry Department, worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this camp.
