
A two-week Dairy Farming Training Programme was organized with 41 participants. Dr.
J.P.S. Vice Chancellor appreciated the outcome-oriented programme and reiterated the university’s commit
ment to empowering livestock farmers through scientific, skill-based interventions.
Director Extension Education, Dr. R.S. Grewal highlighted dairying’s role in nutritional security, employment and rural economic growth,emphasizing value addition. Course Director, Dr. Jaswinder Singh outlined the practice-oriented curriculum covering housing, nutrition, mastitis control, biosecurity and marketing. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ravdeep Singh, Dr. Parteek Singh Dhaliwal and student coordinator Dr. Simranpal Singh Sekhon.
