
NSS Volunteers of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana participated
in an anti-drug rally conducted under the initiative “Yudh Nashya Virudh”, led by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab at Tarn Taran and Abohar. Sh. Sandeep Jakhar, MLA, Abohar was also present during the Abohar rally.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Asst. Director Publications and NSS Programme Coordinator of the university informed that a total of 70 NSS volunteers from GADVASU Ludhiana and Veterinary Polytechnic and Regional Research and Training Centre, Kaljharani (VPRRTC), Bathinda actively participated in this movement to spread awareness and be part of positive change for a healthy, drug-free society.
Dr. R S Grewal, Director, Extension Education stated that GADVASU students, faculty, officers and staff enthusiastically participated in the four-days padyatra that is a part of unified and sustained action by Punjab Governor.
Dr Rajnish Kumar, Veterinary Officer and Shri Kulwinder Sharma accompanied the students of Veterinary Polytechnic (VPRRTC), Bathinda during the Abohar rally.
Dr. S S Hassan, Asst. Prof. College of Fisheries and Dr. Nitin Wakchaure, Asst. Professors from College of Dairy and Food Science Technology accompanied the students during Tarn Taran rally. S. Jaskaran Singh and Dr. Yashpal Singh were also part of the rally.
