The Dean of COVS, Ludhiana, Dr. S.S. Randhawa lauded the NCC cadets for bringing medals and
accolades to the unit after winning them in the Republic Day Camp 2026. The Dean COVS, Ludhiana invited the cadets Lovepreet Kaur, Krish Tuteja and Samreet Kaur alongwith Col. A.S. Rao, Intructors and the Associate NCC officer over a cup of tea in his office. Lovepreet Kaur won 2 silver, 01 bronze medals, one gold and Best Girl rider trophy. Krish Tuteja lead the prestigious Prime Minister Rally and won 4th position in Tent Pegging. Samreet Kaur also participated in Prime Minister rally. He stated that such activities are essential for today’s youth as they help in overall personality development and instill discipline and confidence. He emphasized that their achievements are not just personal victories but a matter of pride for the entire college, the NCC unit, and the University.
He advised the cadets to always remain truthful and honest toward their parents, teachers, and their institution. Congratulating the Commanding Officer and the instructors, he appreciated th
eir relentless efforts in training the cadets and making them capable of achieving such success. He also encouraged the students to motivate and guide their juniors to participate in similar activities. He interacted with the cadets, listened to their experiences from the Republic Day Camp, and admired their medals and trophies.
Dr. J. P. S. Gill, the Worthy Vice Chancellor, also praised the students and the NCC staff for their stupendous achievement that brought pride to the University. He encouraged them to continue their hard work and maintain the same spirit of excellence in the future.
