Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, successfully organized the second edition of 
TEDxGADVASU. The event was held under the theme “Conscious Evolution” TEDx is an independently organized initiative under the global umbrella of TED, a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx events bring communities together to share knowledge, inspire innovation, and spark meaningful conversations through talks delivered by speakers from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, remarked that the university created history last year by hosting TEDxGADVASU, the first TEDx event organized by any veterinary university in India. Encouraged by the overwhelming response to the inaugural edition, Varsity continued its commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and leadership among students through this second edition . in exposure to diverse perspectives, and develop critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills. He noted that such experiences are vital for preparing globally competent and socially responsible professionals and are in line with the university’s vision of promoting the holistic development of students beyond academic excellence.
Dr. R. S. Sethi, Organizer of TEDxGADVASU and Dean, College of Animal 
Biotechnology, informed that the event featured 26 speakers from diverse professional and academic backgrounds who shared their experiences, ideas, and insights with the audience. Among the speakers were Mr. Tarun Kapoor, Teaching Fellow, and Ms. Gurchetan Kaur and Mr. Gurnoor Singh Bhangoo, first-year students of the College of Animal Biotechnology. Around 100 participants have attended this event, including 32 students from the constituent colleges of this university. Senior university functionaries, including Dr. Opinder Singh, Registrar and Dr. Swaran Singh Randhawa, Dean, College of Veterinary Science also participated in the programme.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, academicians, entrepreneurs, and professionals, reaffirming the role of TEDxGADVASU as a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas, inspiring action, and fostering conscious evolution in society.
