Vet Varsity and CLFMA of India Join Hands for Scientific Study on Chicken Sausage Quality

July 14

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India to undertake a scientific study on Comprehensive Evaluation of Moisture Content on the Technical Stability and Sensory Acceptability of Chicken Sausages in India.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Swaran Singh Randhawa, Director of Research, and Col. Vinay Kumar, Executive Director, CLFMA under the guidance of Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor.
Highlighting the significance of the collaboration, Dr. Nitin Mehta, Principal Investigator of the project said that the study aims to generate robust scientific evidence on the impact of moisture content on the quality, safety, nutritional integrity, technical stability, shelf-life and sensory acceptability of chicken sausages. The findings are expected to support scientific standardization, enhance consumer confidence and provide evidence-based inputs. Mr. Rakesh Swami, Group President-Corporate Affairs, Godrej Industries Group and Management Committee Member, CLFMA of India, remarked that industry–academia collaborations are instrumental in advancing innovation and establishing science-based quality benchmarks.
