
Entrepreneurship with Value addition and branding building is need of the time - Vice-Chancellor

The participants received hands-on training in scientific dairy farming, animal health, feeding, breeding, biosecurity, housing, clean milk production, value addition and entrepreneurship through expert lectures, practical demonstrations and educational visits.
Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor especially interacted with the participants and inspired them to move beyond conventional milk production by embracing value addition, branding and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Ravinder Singh Grewal, Director of Extension Education, encouraged the trainees to adopt scientific dairy practices and assured Varsity’s continued support to the farming community during the valedictory session of training. Dairy is ever green business whose demand never subsides, the only need is to match the consumers demands, he added.
Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Head of the Department, led the programme with meticulous planning and overall coordination, ensuring its successful execution. Sh. Surinder Singh, Deputy Director, Dairy Development Department, Punjab also shared his experiences and schemes for the benefit of dairy farmers.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Akshita Chadda, Dr. Kritika Verma and student coordinator Dr. Sourav Uppal. Participants hailed the university teachers for imparting scientific knowledge in an understandable manner.
