Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej with great enthusiasm,
cultural richness, and a spirit of cam
araderie. The colourful event was organized by the women employees of the University, who came together to showcase the essence of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Pawanjeet Kaur Gill, wife of the Vice-Chancellor, expressed her delight at the enthusiastic participation of the women staff members. She appreciated the efforts made to preserve and promote traditional values through a series of cultural performances, including Boliyaan, Punjabi folk songs, Tappe, Giddha, and lively dance presentations. Addressing the gathering as the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Bandana Rani, Assistant Controller (Audit), highlighted the significance of such cultural events in fostering a sense of belonging and unity among employees. She remarked that the celebration provided a meaningful platform for women staff members to step beyond their routine professional responsibilities, reconnect with their cultural roots, and strengthen interpersonal bonds through shared festivities.
