The NSS wing of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University during week long activities conducted poster-making
competition, Jal Seva (water distribution) and two-days blood donation drive at campus.
The topic of Poster making was ‘ Save life’. During the Blood Donation Drive at the campus more than 60 units of blood was collected to save lives as community service.
Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor visited the blood donation drive to motivate NSS volunteers and extended gratitude to the team visiting for blood collection from Civil Hospital, Jagraon.
Dr. G. S. Grewal from Civil Hospital, Jagraon said regular blood donation drives are needed continuously throughout the year.
Dr. J S Hundal, Director Students’ Welfare commended the noble activities conducted by NSS Volunteers and also thanked Samvedna Trust for lending a helping hand during the camp.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, NSS Programme Coordinator informed that NSS volunteers not only donated blood but also held posters in hands while motivating a large number of students and farmers to donate blood during the Blood Donation Drive.
Dr. Nitin Wakchaure, Dr. Vishal Sharma and Dr. S S Hassan, NSS Programme Offices held non-stop ‘Water Chabeel’ with NSS Volunteers for farmers visiting the Pashu Palan Mela.
