alk under the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit
Bharat – 100 Sundays Sankalp Abhiyan.” The initiative was undertaken in response to an invitation from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in association with MY Bharat, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, to mobilise youth for a healthy, active and drug-free India. Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, emphasised that a drug-free campus is essential for the physical, mental and academic well-being of students. He urged the students to reject drug abuse, embrace healthy lifestyles and become active ambassadors of a healthy and drug- free India, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat. Around 130 participants, including students, took part in the awareness walk, which commenced from the 1 Punjab Remount and Veterinary (R&V) Squadron NCC Unit at the College of Veterinary Science. rs to shun drug abuse and adopt healthy lifestyles. Dr. Nittin Dev Singh, Chief Hostel Warden, presided over the event and highlighted the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being and collective action in preventing drug addiction. The program
me was coordinated by Dr. Harkirat Singh, Nodal Officer, Anti-Drug Committee for Drug-Free University Campus, who reiterated the University’s commitment to sustained awareness, prevention and active community participation in the fight against drug abuse. Dr. Jaspal Singh Hundal, Director of Students’ Welfare, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and emphasised that their active involvement reflected the University community’s collective resolve to build a healthier and stronger society.
