
The Veterinary & Livestock Innovation & Incubation Foundation (VLIIF), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University organized a three-day Entrepreneurship Bootcamp to promote entrepreneurial thinking among students and equip them with practical knowledge to
transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures. Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice Chancellor congratulated the organizers and participants and applauded the role of VLIIF in creating opportunities for students to engage with entrepreneurship, innovation and startup development. He appreciated the Foundation’s efforts towards strengthening the University’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Dr. R. S. Sethi, Director, VLIIF emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship bootcamps. He said that such programmes enable students to move beyond conventional learning and transform real-world problems into innovative solutions, enterprises and employment opportunities. Ms Iqbalpreet Kaur Sidhu, CEO, VLIIF said that the bootcamp provided participants with practical exposure to problem identification, business idea generation, business model development, marketing and startup creation. The bootcamp was coordinated by Dr. Shaikh Nasrul Islam, Incubation Associate, VLIIF. Mr. Shibananda Dash, Director, MBCIE and CEO, Ludhiana Angels Network, served as the resource person for the first session titled
“From Problem to Business Idea”. He explained how identifying real-world problems can provide the foundation for developing viable business opportunities through live examples of innovations and startups. Dr. Arvind Dhingra, Executive Director, STEP, GNE, conducted the session on “Solution to Business.” He discussed business model development, market understanding and marketing strategies required to transform an innovative idea into a sustainable enterprise. Mr. Pankaj Navani, CEO and Strategist, Frontrunner Farms India Pvt Ltd (FFIN), shared his transition from an engineer to a businessman and subsequently an entrepreneur. Dr. R. S. Grewal, Director, VLIIF, stated that VLIIF is committed to creating an entrepreneurial culture within the University and aims to systematically train and mentor students to explore entrepreneurship as a career pathway.
