Dr. Harmanjit Singh Banga, Professor-cum-University Librarian has joined as the Dean, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul in addition to his existing duties. Dr. Banga is the recipient of Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing his PhD at University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He has an excellent academic record as he had been a meritorious student with many honours like the prestigious Dr. A S Atwal Gold Medal for M.V.Sc, Jawaharlal Nehru Trust Award etc. He has earlier served as the Head, Department of Veterinary Pathology and it was during his tenure that the department bagged Centre of Advanced Faculty Training (CAFT). He developed an e-Learning portal making GADVASU the first veterinary university in the country to implement Learning Management System during lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, for continuing teaching-learning activities in online mode. He has been instrumental in development of the Digital Repository of GADVASU for archiving vis-à-vis retrieval of articles published by faculty of the University as per NAAS Rating and Impact Factor. Dr. Banga has also developed several educational videos which are accessible from the YouTube.
