Rich haul by NCC cadets of GADVASU at Republic Day Camp at New Delhi in equestrian events

Cadets from 1 Punjab R & V SQN NCC, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, brought laurels in various equestrian events along with Overall Director General (DG) RVS runner up trophy at National level in Republic Day camp, which is being held at New Delhi . Three NCC cadets named, Puneet Kaur, Yuvraj Singh and Makhan Verma from College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU were selected to participate in the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC). The cadets won prizes in different categories are as under-
1. Puneet Kaur: Gold medal in Dressage, Silver medal in Show Jumping and won ‘Best Rider Girls runner up Trophy’.
2. Yuvraj Singh: Gold medal in Dressage, Silver medal in Hacks, ‘Best Rider Boys (Veteran) Runner up Trophy’, ‘Best Show Jumper Trophy in the Horse Show’.
3. MakhanVerma: Silver medal in Boys (Novice) in Hacks event.
Along with above prestigious accomplishments, the cadets from 1 Pb R & V SQN NCCwere declared as ‘Overall Director General RVS Runner-up Trophy’for RDC camp 2023.
Officers from university, Dr HS Banga Registrar, Dr. SPS Ghuman, Dean College of Veterinary Science Ludhiana GADVASU and Dr Satyavan Rampal Director Students' Welfare cum Estate Officer, applauded the cadets for achieving this feet inspite of their hectic study schedule and representing GADVASU at national platform. 
Lt. Col. Anshul Reothia, Officer Commanding commended the cadets for excellent performance during the events. He also praised Subedar Y.B. Tiwari, Lance Daffedar Abdul Qadir and ex-cadets Vikas Garg, Manish Kumar who helped in training the cadets and prepared them for this mega event. Associate NCC officers Captain (Dr.) Nitin Dev Singh and Lt. (Dr.) P. P. Dubey stated that after COVID situation it was very difficult to bring in the cadets and motivate them. They said these cadets put sustained efforts in the training ground by practicing early morning and late evening hours alongwith balancing with their hectic class schedule and exams. They further added that the said RDC camp was organized after a span of 2 years due to COVID forced lockdown. It would not have been possible without the support of the ground team of 1 Pb R&V SQN and Ex-cadets who worked tirelessly. Lt. Col Anshul provided all the facilities to the cadets and the horses
Dr.Interjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor acclaimed the award winning cadets for their dedication and determined efforts which made their parents and their Alma Mater proud. He also congratulated the entire team of 1 Pb R & V SQN NCC, GADVASU, Ludhiana for motivation and support to the cadets to perform at national level with excellence
