12th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today witnessed Collage, Clay Modeling, Elocution and Poetry Competitions. Dr. Nirmal Singh, Librarian was the guest of honor for the morning session. Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Director Students’ welfare said that the youth festival aims to develop confidence, courage, wisdom, time management and adventure amongst the youth by providing them a platform for inculcating values and respect for art, culture and heritage.
Dr. A.P.S. Brar, organizing secretary of the festival, detailed that the topic for Collage Making was ‘War or Peace’. Total 12 students participated in Collage Making competition. Topics for Clay Modeling ‘Relation between Human and Animals’, total 12 students participated in Clay Modeling competition. In all the competitions, students from different colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar in these events. The students were highly motivated and participated with high spirits.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer informed that On the Spot Painting (08.00.a.m), Installation (11.00 a.m.) and Rangoli Making (02.00. p.m) will be held on 08.11.2023 at Examination Hall of College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana.
