Brief Introduction :

Prof (Dr.) Yashpal Singh Malik served as ICAR-National Fellow at the premier Veterinary Institute of the country- Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar India from 2014-2020. Prof Malik is a graduate of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. He is having rich experience in Veterinary Microbiology and Biotechnology. Prof Malik did his post doctorate in Molecular Virology at University of Minnesota, USA and acquired advanced trainings in Virology at University of Ottawa, Canada, and Wuhan Institute of Virology, China. Prof Malik has been to The United States of America, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Belarus, Belgium, Sweden, and People’s Republic of China for representing India in scientific arena. Prof Malik is a member of International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) on Birnaviridae and Picobirnaviridae study group and a managing committee member of World Society for Virology (USA).
 
Prof Malik is recipient of the prestigious ICAR Jawaharlal Nehru Award; distinguished Associateships/ Membership of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and National Academy of Veterinary Sciences. Prof Malik has been endowed with Fellowships of Society of Immunology and Immunopathology (SIIP) Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiology, Immunology and Specialists of Infectious Diseases, Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists, National Academy of Biological Sciences, Indian Society for Veterinary Biotechnology and Immunology, International Science Congress Association, Fellow Academy for Environment and Life Sciences, Fellow Society of Applied Biotechnology and Fellow Indian Virology Society. Prof Malik has developed several technologies and diagnostic kits and has two National patents to his credit. He has authored 7 books and published around 227 scientific research articles in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor. His h index is 34 and RG score 40. Prof Malik has supervised 5 Ph.D. and 18 Master’s degree students for their thesis research. He has been reviewer for many reckoned Indian and International Journals like Lancet, Journal of Virological Methods, Vet. Microbiology, Archives of Virology, Infection, Genetics and Evolution, Preventive Veterinary Medicine, VirusDisease, Indian Journal of Microbiology, Indian Journal of Animal Science, etc.

Prof Malik has been the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Immunology Immunopathology and Associate Editor of Frontiers in Microbiology and Frontiers in Veterinary Sciences. Prof Malik is on advisory board of several professional academic societies including Indian Virological Society where he is serving as “Secretary General” and “Secretary” in World Society for Virology.
