Dr. Ramneek has joined as Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology on 17-09-2020. Earlier he served as Director, College of Animal Biotechnology for almost eight yrs. He received his B.V.Sc. and M.V.Sc. from PAU and Ph.D. from Lincoln University, Christchurch, New Zealand under NZODA Fellowship. He also won Lincoln University Fund of Excellence for Research. He has more than 30 yrs. experience in teaching and research. He has successfully completed several externally funded projects as PI and Co-PI and has more than 100 international and national research publications to his credit. He has guided 12 PhD and 13 Master’s students who are well placed in Government/Private Sector.
He has developed molecular techniques for rapid detection and characterization of various pathogens of livestock, poultry and canines and based on some of these works he has been conferred with number of Best Research presentation awards by professional scientific societies in India & Abroad. Widely travelled Dr. Ramneek has attended various national and international conferences/symposia/workshops/ trainings/refresher courses and delivered invited lectures. He has also successfully organized several National and International Workshops/Trainings/Winter Schools and is also a member of various committees of ICAR and National Institutes.
