Dr. Anuradha Gupta has joined Department of Veterinary Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science, Punjab Agricultural University on Nov. 5, 1997. She completed her graduation and post-graduation from HAU, Hisar, Haryana and Ph.D. from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. She has brilliant career and is involved in transcending of formalin free teaching in Veterinary Anatomy for which she has developed 3D Models and AR/VR models, plastinated specimens/luminal casts, video-documentaries, e-atlas and CDs for animated power point presentations. She has upgraded department museum by making clinically important models.
Her research focus is on gross anatomical, histomorphological, histochemical, histoenzymic, radiological and ultrasonographic studies on different organs/systems of the domestic animals and birds. She has published more than 150 research and review articles in National and International journals and 30 popular articles. She has contributed five book chapters and 11 manuals. She is Associate Editor of International Journal Avian & biological research and reviewer of various national and international journals. She has handled ICAR research projects as PI and Co-PI.
She has been conferred with 16 awards at National and International conferences. She has been organising secretary of various webinars / lectures / trainings, expert at National level exams (NET, UPSC and PGI). She has delivered various lead papers and extension lectures in professional trainings and workshops. She has guided 8 MVSc and 2 Ph D students as major advisor and 35 MVSc and 8 Ph D students as Co advisor.
She has international exposure at College of Veterinary Medicine, UFMG, Belo Horizonte, Brazil for upgrading teaching and research. Dr. Anuradha Gupta is working as Head, Department of Veterinary Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University since 28.06.2023.
