Culture Activities Wing of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility
of promoting the cultural and co-curricular activities among the students, sharpening of their skills in the fields of fine arts, theatre, music, dance and drama and to provide them a platform to articulate their creativity. To achieve this objective, the wing organizes regular camps, seminars, meetings and interaction with eminent artists/ personalities from the field of art and culture and facilitates the participation of the students in cultural programmes in and out the University campus. 10th Youth festival of GADVASU was organized in November, 2019.
The University team bagged prestigious “Overall Champions Trophy” at AGRI UNIFEST 2019 at SDAU, Gujarat and “Overall Champions- Runner up” title at AGRI UNIFEST 2018 at SVVU, Tirupati besides earning laurels and kudos at AIU North Zone Inter University Youth Festival and All India Inter- Agriculture Universities Youth Festival every year. Our students actively participated in cultural activities and won various prizes as given below:

Every year, the Cultural Activities Wing of the University organizes functions to celebrate Independence Day and Republic Day with great pomp and show to promote patriotism amongst youth.
Won 1st position prize and Best Rebuttal Award (English Section) at National Inter University Debate Competition held from January 14 – 15, 2019 at GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar.
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) grabbed first position in Punjab State Inter College Cultural Procession Competition organized by Punjab Art Council, Chandigarh (Government of Punjab). The winning team of GADVASU was facilitated by the PAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon and the eminent Punjabi laureate Dr. Surjit Patar, Chairman, Punjab Arts Council along with the Chief Guest for the evening, Mr. Kahan Singh Pannu, Secretary Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Dr. Nirmal Jaura, DSW, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
