Undergraduate Admission Rules for General
(I) B.V.Sc. & A.H. ( 5 1/2 - year Programmes)
The candidate should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Indian Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (47.5% for DP, SC/ST, BC and KM categories) in aggregate excluding optional subject.
(II) B.F.Sc., B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), and B.Tech. (Biotechnology) (4-year programme)
The candidate should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for B.Tech. Dairy Technology/ Mathematics or Biology for B.F.Sc. and B.Tech. Biotechnology from a recognized Indian Board/ University with at least 50% marks (45% for DP and 40% for SC/ST, BC and KM categories) in aggregate excluding the optional subject.
Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology
The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST and BC categories) in aggregate with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects from a Board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.
Candidate must be a resident of Punjab State / Union Territory of Chandigarh. He/She is required to furnish self declaration (Annexure VII) and Residence Certificate (Annexure VIII) as per instructions/guidelines from Punjab Government regarding competent authority to issue Residence Certificate (Annexure D of this chapter) at the time of counselling.
