The minimum eligibility qualification for admission to Master’s programmes of the university is OCPA/OGPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks in aggregate in the graduation degree (in respective discipline as shown below) from a recognized institute/college/university established by law in India.
Note:
1. For enlisted M.Tech programmes, preference will be given to the candidates with B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree.
2. Preference will be given to the candidate with B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. degree.
3. Candidates admitted under DBT- Postgraduate Teaching Programme.
- Students may have to clear deficiency courses as suggested by the student’s advisory committee.
The minimum requirement for in-service candidates for admission to Master’s programmes in the constituent colleges of the university is OCPA/OGPA of 5.50/10.00 or 55% marks in aggregate in the graduation degree (in respective discipline as shown in table under Sr. No. 8.2.2) from a recognized institute/college/university established by law in India. A minimum of two years professional experience (after completion of Bachelor’s degree) in any department of Punjab Government/Union Territory of Chandigarh/Central or State Government/SemiGovernment organizations on the last date of receipt of applications.
Note:
(i) The in-service candidate will be considered for admission only if his/her application is duly forwarded through proper channel by the Head/sanctioning authority after certifying that during the study period his/her lien will be retained and on completion of studies, the candidate will join back on the said post.
(ii) The preference for admission under in-service category will be given to the candidates working with Punjab Government/Semi-Government organization followed by other state candidates.
(iii) The candidate will be awarded M.V.Sc./M.F.Sc./M. Sc. or M.Tech. according to his/her qualifying degree for the programme at the time of admission.
