Refund Policy

The Fee Refund Policy in the University (constituent and affiliated colleges) for the New Entrants other than NRIs/OCI/Foreign Nationals in all the Undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. programmes for Academic year 2026- 27

• Depositing of fee on shifting/sliding on account of seat procured during subsequent counselling(s) purely on merit basis and refund of fee shall be as per the following procedure:
  • The students taking admission as per their interest/choice, in case shift/slide their seats within the constituent colleges/disciplines of the University during subsequent counselling’s, can do so without depositing the fee repeatedly. In case the fees paid for the first programme/discipline in which student took admission is higher than the programme/discipline to which student shift/slide seat in subsequent counselling(s), then the balance amount of fee deposited earlier would be refunded after the admission is closed for that Academic Year.
  • Any excess amount in case of higher fee in programme/discipline to which student shift/slide seat in subsequent counselling(s), is to be paid by such student(s) immediately after the counselling as per provisions of the University Prospectus 2026- 27.
  • Any refund to NRI/OCI/Foreign National Students will be made in Indian currency in his/her own any Indian Bank account
• If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme of study in which he/she is enrolled i.e., vacates the seat and leaves the university, the University will follow the following five-tier system for the refund of fees remitted by the student as per UGC notification on “Refund of fees and non-retention of original certificates dated October 2018.”

If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme of study in which he/she is enrolled, the institution concerned shall follow the following five-tier system for the refund of fees* remitted by the student:-

• The last counselling conducted by the university will be the formally notified as last date of admission i.e., prior to the mop-up round/special counselling/walkin-interview. The conditions at Sr. No. 1 (i and ii) as mentioned above will be applicable up to the last counselling/last date of admission and not during or after the mop-up round/special counselling/walk-ininterview. Otherwise in the later case, the condition at Sr. No. 2 mentioned above will be applicable.
• In case of Sr. No. 2 in above table, the concerned college shall also deduct an amount not more than 5% of the fees paid by the student, subject to the maximum of Rs. 6000/-, as processing charges from the refundable amount.
• In case of Sr. No. 2 mentioned in above table, the caution money/refundable security, which is not part of the fee chargeable, shall be refunded in full.
• In case of Sr. No. 2 (v) mentioned in above table, only the caution money/refundable security shall be refunded in full.
• For VCI/ICAR nominated student, the date of registration in university will be taken as last date of admission.

Refund Policy for Students Failing in Compartment Examination

Refund of fee in respect of students who got failed in compartment examination and don’t want to continue their study programme shall be as under:

• Student(s) getting compartment have the choice to register and pay the fee for the next professional year after the declaration of result of compartment examination.
• The student(s) who fail to clear compartment examination but have deposited the fee for the next professional year and do not want to repeat the previous class or to continue with his/her study programme, can claim for refund of fee for that particular year.
